The worry of unemployment was beginning to weigh on us. John was ready to go, ready to work.Despite all this, it was a little sad sending him off this morning. The mileage on his 1987 Jeep Cherokee reads 215537.0 He is heading back to the Center of America - Southern Illinois, not far from the place in Missouri where we were last year.
We don't know how long this will last. The plan now is for Jubilee and I to come out in late May or early June.
It feels very quiet and empty around here this Sunday morning.
Eric came over yesterday to help Dad get ready. He and Jubilee enjoyed a nap together ...

I am so glad to hear there is some hope, some employment, to ease your burden. Being used to having someone there, a partner, the separation must be painful. Nowadays, however, we are able to keep in touch better than ever before. Live through that solitude. It may bring you unexpected gifts.
